Life is like a dream.
Whatever you have gone through
happened
as if you were in a trance.
Next moment's happenings
are never known in advance.
Who will you meet,
what will he say,
what you will say,
how will you interact
can never be predicted.
One may leave the world
the next moment.
One may win a lottery,
next moment.
One may meet one's eternal love
next moment.
Next moment an egg may fertilise,
which can result in a dictator's birth,
or the birth of a poet,
or a saint.
Life is like a dream.
It is a trance.
Let us do supplication.
Let us pray.
Life is like a dream.
So let us just dream
and carry on
with our life.
29 October 2011 TO: Mr. Sharbaaniranjan Kundu You aptly describe the random nature of Creation. Sri Aurobindo visualised that physical evolution of Man has ended and his destiny is Divinity. But, we are afraid, we are very remote from that trend of evolution and the randon pattern, as you highlight, will be our fate in any foreseeable future, never allowing us to confirm our destiny.
