It struck in the afternoon
Shaking the foundation
Of the nation
Unnerving its population
Causing devastation

Then came the tsunami
Lashing the shore
Taking people by the score
Pray for divine intervention
To contain the destruction

How does one cope
With nature's wrath
When she unleashes terror
Using  earthquake tremors
And tsunami horrors
