Jayati Chowdhury

Jayati, a name with multiple identity of being a wife, mother, homemaker and a business woman...she truly befits the tag of today's woman of substance. Enriching herself with the experience of living in different parts of the world, she is currently settled in Middle East. She captures subtle moments in verse and strongly believes that poetry is a liberated symphony of words, composed by emotions and perceptions - she 'wants to sing like the birds sing, not worrying about who hears or what they think' - Rumi. She has also penned few articles. A trained vocalist, Jayati loves to sing ghazals and participated in ace competitions like Zee SAREGAMAPA. She is a registered poet with poetsindia.com and her poems are also published in sites like poetry.com and ndtv.com Her philosophy in life is: "I prefer to be a dreamer among the humblest, with visions to be realized, than lord among those without dreams and desires" - Khalil Gibran
