A Knight in Shinning Armor

He stands there in the moonlight, waiting to sweep me off my feet
A man so perfect that angels bow before him
I reach out for him, this flawless knight
He encloses me in his warmth and I feel safe

The demons that torment me are quiet now
Kept at bay by his passionate embrace
The world watches us in quiet adoration
Envying our love and all its wonders

I watch him while he sleeps -
Memorizing his body with my own
Reaching out my hand to touch him
I assure myself that it is not a dream

Sometimes our souls speak in a language I cannot understand
Writing our love story in the pages of time
We are bound together by a love so brilliant
It leaves me breathless and trembling...

Too soon it is over and the night turns into dawn
I try to capture the moment but life has carried on
With one last kiss our fate is sealed and my heart swells with love
My knight in shinning armor has finally come back home.
